WE DO
Our mission is to inspire and uplift the youth of this generation to be confident leaders that create their own path and reach their full potential through serving others, attaining knowledge and engaging in healthy habits. We foster creativity and strive to engage our youth in activities that will help them develop self-awareness, self-respect, and a strong sense of self-worth that will ultimately propel them into living fulfilled lives. We believe it is critical to equip youth and adolescents from all backgrounds with the tools to expand their minds so they can be productive valued citizens in our society.
PROGRAMS & PROJECTS.
Youth are our passion. We believe that the success of our society begins and ends with the seeds we plant within our youth. LIFT Youth aims to help develop young minds by engaging, mentoring and training them, introducing them to knowledge and skills that they might not learn in their everyday day activities in school.
Our programs include culinary skills training; health and wellness which consists of martial arts training, yoga, basketball and bowling; business etiquette; and one on one mentoring.
Culinary Skills Training
We believe cooking is an essential skill that facilitates self-care, independence and enhances one’s quality of life. It is also an activity that often has therapeutic value, providing a means to practice mindfulness in addition to healthier eating habits. We offer cooking workshops that serve to provide a safe space for bonding and conversation to occur while our youth simultaneously experience the fun and creativity that comes with creating a meal they can be proud.
One-on-One Tutoring & Mentoring
Navigating through the many mental, physical, and social pressures that are largely present in today’s society is a daunting task for most youth that are still in process of discovering who they want to be. LIFT youth is dedicated to providing our kids the opportunity to have a mentor that they can build meaningful relationships with as they embark on their journey of self-exploration. Our mentors are both trained professionals and trained volunteers who will actively listen, encourage and provide sound advice when needed.
Health and Wellness
Wellness is now a word used to describe living the best life possible life, regardless of whether you have a disease or disability. Your wellness is not only related to your physical health, but is a combination of things including social, mental, and emotional wellness. Wellness is seen as a combination of mind, body and spirit. Different people may have different ideas about wellness.
L.I.F.T. Youth believes "health is wealth". When the body receives the right support and nutrition, the mind is also supported.
Depression and suicide are often tied to the wellbeing and nutrition of the human body. "If you feel good, you'll do good". We practice safe teachings through our instructors in yoga, martial arts, and various outdoor activities that encourage sound thinking and focus on how to relieve anxieties associated with peer pressure and "at home" dysfunction.

Business Etiquette
We recognize the urgent need for youth to have lifelong, independent relationships with peers and the community. Relationships are built in the home, community and workplace. We support this by providing job training and placement assistance. This includes filling out applications, computer training, internship opportunities and learning appropriate workplace behaviors.
Additional resources such as assistance with budgeting finances, opening a bank account and completing the necessary steps to further their educational career is also provided.
